Neglected blog is Neglected...

I Love my Readers!

Hi! Its been ages since I wrote a blog, i guess i should post more often. Hope you all are happy and healthy. I am sick at the moment, i may just be a hypochondriac and all but I think I have the Flu... so I'm not happy. Feel sore all over, dizzy and really tired. I want health, is anyone able to give me any???

My last health I wrote about seems to be fixed, so that's good. All I needed to do is lower the dose of a tablet. I had a blood test which however, showed that one of my tablets doses could be increased so we did that, again all good.

In other news, If I am good this month, I may be able to move out of my bedroom and into the room out the back. So far, I don't think I'm doing to well but I may be wrong. So lets see how that ends up.

I am in the process of starting up another blog, it's called "Awesomly Kawaii" and I'm going to post Kawaii, which in japanese translates to "cute", things that I find on the internet. Hopefully you guys will check it out when I'm finished setting it up.

GAH!!! DAMMIT,
I just noticed a Spelling error in my title of that blog...
GAH!!! DAMMIT!

!BLOG UPDATE NEWS!

From now on, I am going to put more pictures in my blog posts. I read somewhere that people like pictures, so I'm going to please them by posting pictures... OK?

Lastly, if you ever want to suggest things to improve the blog, you can contact me at:

Some Good and Bad news!

Hey Guys!

Bet you guys have been wondering where I’ve been. Truthfully, I’ve been busy doing other things (which may or may not involve thinking about a possible future blog redesign). I’ve also been busy playing around with Photoshop and learning new things to do with it.

This post however, is about my Health.

Since around November, I haven’t been feeling very well. I’ve been light-headed, dizzy, tired and all sorts of bad unwell feelings. Well today I finally went to the Doctor and may have found out what’s wrong with me.

I haven’t mentioned this in the blog yet, but I take medication for Mental Health issues. So around November, I had increased one of my medications which could possibly be why I’ve been feeling sick.

You may not know this, but in the brain there is a special chemical called Serotonin. Unofficially it’s “The Happy Chemical” as it helps make you feel happy. That means if you have low levels of Serotonin, it is quite possible you may have Depression or some related illness. Well, If I do have Serotonin Syndrome, I have too much of it and my brain can’t cope. That possibly could be what is making me feel sick. I won’t go into too much detail but it isn’t a good thing to have and means I need to get rid of one of my medication to fix it.

Good news, I should feel better after getting rid of that tablet. However, the bad news is getting rid of this tablet might affect my moods and make me not be so stable. Well I guess my blood test tomorrow should be able to tell me what I need to know. Then I should be able to get better.

Sorry about the seriousness of the blog but I wanted to write a blog and this was the only thing I could think of. I Pinky Promise I’ll write a happier blog next time.

Thanks for reading

Short Story I Wrote

(TheRainKisser is my username on a writing website)

It was all too much.

A sense of loss washed over me as I watched the events unfold in front of me. I was at the park with my Mum, Dad and younger Brother when it happened. It was something I knew was inevitable, that sooner or later it was going to happen but it still shocked me to tears. My Mum put her head in her hands while my Dad yelled. My Brother rolled his eyes and gave me a look that wondered if I was crazy, or possibly insane. All this was happening and I couldn’t care less…

As I am Bipolar and all I had wanted was that last Potato Chip!

I Know A Girl

I know a girl.
A Beautiful, Kind, Caring, Strong girl.
Though we haven’t known each other long,
I couldn’t imagine life without her.
I can tell her so much, and nothing at all at the same time.
This girl has a dark side, it’s called Depression.
Baring her heart to me I lay in bed in the early hours of the morning,
Promising her she will be alright, that the pain will go.
We may be on opposite sides of the Country,
But I’ll be there as long as she needs me.
One day I’ll be able to give her the hugs she deserves.
I’ll be the Demi to her Selena.
Just perfect in our imperfection.
Thanks for being my friend
Thanks Forever,
Ashleigh

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hey Guys!

Hope you all had an EPIC Christmas and New Year!
Mine was pretty good. Got some pretty cool presents and spent time with family which was good.

Do any of you guys keep resolutions?

I don't usually, but this year mine is to finish writing a story. I don't usually get mine finished so this year I'm going to change that and finally get to the end of one.

On a more serious note, It's almost the one year anniversary of the flood. It's only five more days and it will be a year since the January 10 flood... pretty scary.

Oh! You may have noticed that I updated my blog layout. If you have a blogger blog and you too want this layout just click here to visit Pugly Pixel and you will be able to download this layout for free! Just do as the instructions say and back-up your blog just in case you stuff up.

Fluttering of a Butterflies Wings - Things I love Pt 1

Hey!

I am sure the blog was starting to feel a bit neglected, so I have decided to show it a bit of love and write a new blog post.

I have decided to write about things and people that I love. Some of these include the following...

I love Music.

Music I could not live without, it cheers me up when I'm Sad and/or Stressed and calms me down when I'm angry.

Some music I love at this current moment includes...
  • Christina Perri
  • Glee
  • Florence + The Machine
  • Muse
  • Regina Spektor
  • Demi Lovato

I love Livewire.

Livewire is an Australian website run by The Starlight Children's Foundation for Teens between the ages of 13 and 21 with Chronic Illness or Disabilities. I have now been a member for about three or four years and have many friends that I have met on the site. The website has a Chatroom, articles to read and blogs written by members of the site. Livewire helps so much when you are feeling sad or just plain sick and you want something to distract you or people to cheer you up. Everyone on Livewire is really supportive and there is always people online if you want to have a good chat.

If you want to know more and you are a teen in Australia, go to www.livewire.org.au and there is information available for you to read about the site.

I Love Strange things.

Ok, that heading might be a smidge misleading but i do like some things that people find weird.

I absolutely love Coloured Stockings. Pink, Blue, Green, Purple... it doesn't matter, if they are bright and colourful I love 'em. I think it started when I was in year 11 (or the age 16 for the clueless) and I watched Angus, Thongs & Perfect Snogging, and in the last few minutes of the movie the main character is wearing a Denim Skirt with... i think it was purple, stockings. So then I became obsessed with Purple Stockings and looked everywhere for them, in one shop to another, until I did find the Coveted Purple Stockings. Of course I had to buy them. But the obsession didn't stop there, the next colours to come were Pink, Blue & Yellow. I am determined to get more colours as soon as I find them, so watch out everyone!

Ok, I don't love as many strange things as I thought...

I Love Keys.

Keys. Ok, there is a story behind this but don't worry it's really short...

One day I found this book called, wait for it, 'Lock and Key' by Sarah Dessen and the main character of the story wears a house key on a chain around her neck. For some reason, I became obsessed with the idea and wanted a key necklace. For years afterwards, i started searching for the 'right' key necklace. I did, however, find that necklace but I will continue loving key necklaces as long as they are sold.

I Love My Home.

Ok, this one is pretty universal. My home, is located in the Sunny State of Queensland, Australia and I have lived here all my life. Well I have moved cities, once, but I can't remember that as I was too young...

When I went over to Western Australia on Holidays in September this year, I got really depressed and started getting 'Homesick' even with the fact that my whole family was over there with me. I don't know why I love my city so much, it drives me crazy for the lack of disability support and lack of stuff to do for those who don't drink, but I still love it to pieces. I could never move or I would just come running back. So yeah, I love my home <3

So this is the end of Part One of this list, I'll post another list later on... I promise. :)

So thanks for reading,
Ashleigh xoxo
